Year 2094

Our world is white, aseptic, clean, ordered. Our universe is cold and as impersonal as a hospital operating room. We stop feeling and communicating. We land in the future, yes, but we lose memory and emotion.

Galicia. Last Xacobean year of this XXI century. A troupe formed by an illusionist, six dancers and seven circus artists verify that the Camino de Santiago no longer exists, no one remembers it. There are no more pilgrims or a road to walk together. Neither the water or the rain, the bagpipes, the green of the fields or the imprint of the sea on the sand. No trace or memory of any of them.

What was all that? Where was the journey, the search and the discovery? Where did the sensibility escape? These are the questions that will guide this circus troupe, which is committed to a mission: to rebuild its cultural identity. On the stage, the artists are involved in an unparalleled adventure. The past touches them and a supernatural force will transform them.

Inventio, a journey into the sensitive

Inventio is a large-format family show, in which comedy and drama, dance, illusionism and circus arts coexist. Inventio is a sensory journey, a way back to sensitivity from tradition and modernity.

With a magical atmosphere and a futuristic staging, Inventio recovers the landscape, customs, music, art or architecture of Galicia in a delicate and blinding show, with a dizzying pace, in a great production with echoes of futuristic cinema of Stanley Kubrick, Ridley Scott or Denis Villeneuve.

With direction by the young Galician illusionist Martín Varela and dramaturgy by José L. Prieto, the creative and artistic team of Inventio is made up of more than 40 people, including six dancers and seven circus artists and Varela himself, who will act as a guide in a show that is nothing more than “a journey towards everything that makes us human: our capacity to feel”.

At the head of the artistic direction, Suso Montero, a renowned set designer with a long career in theater and television. In the direction of magic, two outstanding Galician illusionists -Fani Triana and Martín Camina- and in the direction of circus, Jorge Miquel, with a long career in the implementation of circus projects. In the musical composition, José Trincado ‘Triki’, producer and technician who has worked with groups such as Milladoiro or companies like La Fura dels Baus. In charge of the ballet and choreography, Mercedes Suárez; Alberto Casas in lighting design and Conchi Silvent in costume design.
